Dartmouth skiers win EISA title

The Dartmouth ski team completed a second consecutive undefeated season Sunday at the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) championships hosted by Middlebury College at the Rikert Ski Touring Center and the Middlebury Snow Bowl.
The Big Green scored 846 points, comfortably topping the University of Vermont in second place (806 points) and host Middlebury in third (741 points).
The Dartmouth women’s cross country team swept the podium on Sunday in the 15 kilometer mass-start freestyle race, with Ida Sargent placing first, followed by Rosie Brennan (second) and Sophie Caldwell (third).
Vermont's Franz Bernstein led the men's 20-kilometer mass-start freestyle competition, followed by Wyatt Fereday of Colby College (second) and Middlebury's Patrick Johnson (third).
Vermont’s David Donaldson won the men’s giant slalom, followed by Dartmouth’s Ace Tarberry (second) and Vermont’s Robby Kelley.
Vermont’s Bryana Park and Megan Ryley were first and second, respectively, in the women’s giant slalom, followed by New Hampshire’s Veronique Archambault-Leger in third.
On Saturday, Dartmouth’s Katie Bono won the women’s 5 kilometer classic cross country race, followed by Sargent (second) and Clare Egan of Wellesley College (third).
Vermont's Bernstein won the men's 10-kilometer classical event, followed by Dimitri Luthi of Williams (second) and Eric Wolcott of St. Lawrence (third).
Vermont's Donaldson won the men’s slalom, followed by Middlebury's Bobby Poehling (second) and New Hampshire's Paul Atkinson (third).
New Hampshire’s Archambault-Leger won the women’s slalom, followed by Dartmouth’s Kelsey Roddick (second) and New Hampshire’s Marie-Elaine Lepine (third).
To 2010 season will conclude with the NCAA Championships, to be held March 10-13 in Steamboat Springs, Colo., hosted by the University of Colorado.
Teams are allowed to compete with a maximum of three men and three women from each discipline.
