Pico to hold 'Hope on the Slopes' event

On March 6, Pico Mountain will host ‘Hope on the Slopes,’ an event designed to raise money for the American Cancer Society and raise awareness of healthy activities and lifestyles.
The American Cancer Society will receive $12 of every lift ticket purchased that day and raffles will be held throughout the day for prizes like a My Pico Season Pass, a snowboard gift package, and more.
The new Pico Race Arena will be open as well, offering timed runs down a professional course for a $1 donation to the American Cancer Society.
Young non-racers will also enjoy the fun with face painting at the Pico Lodge and a pizza party at 2:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted at both events and various locations throughout the day.
All donations collected will benefit the American Cancer Society to help with cancer research, children’s camps, the Cancer Survivor’s Network, and programs like ‘Reach to Recovery,’ ‘Man to Man’, and ‘Look Good, Feel Better.’
