Cranmore to hold Meister Cup race

by PR Wire Report/

The Hannes Schneider Meister Cup will be held Saturday and Sunday at Mount Cranmore in New Hampshire.

Unlike any ski race in history, the Meister Cup combines the best of skiing today with the warm nostalgia of yesterday. It honors the founding father of ski instruction, Austrian Hannes Schneider, who brought his world-renowned skills to North Conway and Mount Cranmore in 1939.

The race also pays tribute to America’s mountain troops. Each year 10th Mountain Division veterans of World War II and the Color Guard and soldiers of the active duty 10th Mountain Division of Fort Drum, N.Y., take part in this memorable event.

The Meister Cup is a fund-raiser for the New England Ski Museum, located at the foot of Cannon Mountain in Franconia, N.H.
