Stephens earns Adaptive victories

Laurie Stephens (Wenham, Mass.) of the U.S. Adaptive Alpine Ski Team earned two sit-ski victories in World Cup action in Aspen, Colo., this week.
Stephens won the sit-ski downhill on Wednesday and the super-G on Friday.
Stephens also earned a sit-ski downhill silver on Tuesday.
The week’s events were the last of the World Cup season. Stephens and the U.S. Adaptive team will now take part in the Paralympic Games in Vancouver.
Among other New Englanders competing, Chris Devlin-Young (Campton, N.H.) had a fifth-place finish in men’s sitting downhill on Tuesday and added fifth-place efforts in super-G and super combined on Thursday.
Tyler Walker (Franconia, N.H.) was fourth on Thursday in super-G.
