Attitash to hold Spread Eagle competition

Attitash Ski Resort will play host to the Spread Eagle World Championship on Saturday.

Competitors, bringing back 1980s memories, will compete in classic day-glo and one-piece outfits, launching memorable old school, spread eagle-style jumps. Nutcrackers, Daffys and Cossacks return to the ski slopes of Attitash as the competitors break out their best maneuvers for the judges.

The event is open to the public with no entry fee.

Registration is in the South Wing of the Attitash Base Lodge from 8 to 11 a.m. and the event starts at noon on Thad’s Choice, with prizes in this free event being awarded for the best jump in two age categories (12 and under, 13 and over) as well as for the “best dressed” competitors.
