Kasper fifth in NorAm super-G

Nolan Kasper (Warren, Vt.) placed fifth in Sunday’s NorAm Cup Finals super-G event at Burke Mountain in Vermont.

Canada’s Jan Hudec won the super-G with U.S. Ski Team member Will Brandenburg (Spokane, Wash.) in second.

Brandenburg took the super combined win with Chris Frank (Windham, N.Y.) and Tim Jitloff (Reno, Nev.) also on the podium.

Brandenburg’s super combined win clinched the NorAm super combined title and moved him into the lead in the NorAm Cup overall standings. He is ahead by 40 points with three races to go.

The men will race the super-G at Burke on Monday before heading to Waterville Valley, N.H., for the tech events.
