Burton Snowboards has announced it will move its manufacturing operations from Vermont to Austria.
Burton Manufacturing Center, located in South Burlington, Vt., will close in June, eliminating 43 jobs. The production will move to a facility in Uttendorf, Austria.
The company’s global headquarters, located in Burlington, Vt., will remain, with research and development remaining in Vermont.
