Leahy, Hernandez earn Rev Tour wins

Kevin Leahy (Brighton, Mass.) and Jacqueline Hernandez (Londonderry, Vt.) won the final Revolution Tour snowboardcross events of the season on Thursday at Mount Hood, Ore.
Leahy crossed the line first, defeating Canada’s Jake Holden. Ross Andrews (Aspen, Colo.) was third.
“It was real close in the start going off the first step down,” explained Leahy. “After the second turn I had the hole shot.”
Hernandez waited until the last turn to make her move on Carrie Uren (Randle, Wash.), crossing the finish line in front. Jenna Feldman (Linwood, N.J.), who was followed Uren in third.
“I was third out of the start and around the first turn I managed to get into second,” said Hernandez. I was second the whole way down and around the last corner I made the pass to first.”
The 2010 Revolution Tour concluded with Thursday’s snowboardcross race at Mt. Hood.
The freestylers now head to Squaw Valley, Calif., to close out the year at the Sprint U.S. Freestyle Championships March 26-28.
