Jewell places fourth in PGS

Massachusetts native and 2010 Olympian Tyler Jewell closed his snowboard season with a fourth-place finish in the World Cup parallel giant slalom finals on Sunday in La Molina, Spain.

Sunday's men's race was won by Olympic champion Jasey Jay Anderson of Canada. Fellow Canadian Matthew Morison was second and Austrian Andreas Prommegger was third.

The finish marked Jewell's highest result for the 2010 season. His last podium performance came during the 2008 season during a PGS World Cup in Lake Placid, N.Y.
