Newell claims Super Tour XC title

Andy Newell (Shaftsbury, Vt.) claimed the overall U.S. Super Tour cross country title on Sunday.

The title is comprised of the mass start, sprint and hill climb.

Kikkan Randall (Anchorage, Alaska) was the women’s overall winner.

The U.S. Super Tour closed on Sunday with the men’s and women’s hill climb at Fort Kent, Maine. Canada’s Ivan Babikov and Rebecca Dussault (Gunnison, Colo.) ended the 2010 winter season on top of the podium.
