Stephens wins Adaptive super-G title

Laurie Stephens (Wenham, Mass.) was the women’s sit-ski super-G champion at the U.S. Adaptive Alpine Championships in Big Sky, Mont., on Tuesday.

The victory was the first of the series for Stephens, who was followed by Ricci Kilgore (Reno, Nev.) and Sylvie Fadrhonc (Basalt, Colo.).

In the men’s sitting super-G Chris Devlin-Young (Campton, N.H.) and Tyler Walker (Franconia, N.H.) did not finish.

In the men’s standing super-G, Ted Broderick (Amherst, N.H.) placed third, while Alex Tomaszewski (Wells, Maine) was fifth.

In the women’s visually impaired super-G, Lindsay Ball (Benton, Maine) placed third.
