Ski Areas: Massachusetts
Western Massachusetts
Berkshire East
skijournal.com mountain overview:
Drivers traveling along Route 2 in Western Massachusetts get a unique view of Berkshire East as they climb over a high ridge in the Berkshires. But the lodge and glimpses of the trails don't tell the whole story. This area boasts the state's biggest vertical drop and has some runs steep enough to rival those in the northern New England states. The challenge attracts several college ski teams, including nearby Williams. Along with the challenge, Berkshire East has trails for all levels, and 10 of its 38 runs are lit up for night skiing.
