Being on the way to the bigger mountains up north had a lot to do with the success of Otis Ridge. For 50 years the Otis Ridge Ski Camp has been bringing in boys and girls 8-15 and teaching them to ski on weekends and vacations. Often, skiers headed to Vermont from Connecticut would drop the kids off for their training. After a few sessions in camp the kids were ready to head for the mountains up north with the family. Five lifts and 11 trails are spread across the ridge, with 400 feet of vertical and 95 percent snowmaking. Young racers in camp mix with plenty of locals on this hill with some steep pitches.
