Ski Areas: Massachusetts
Eastern Massachusetts
Nashoba Valley
skijournal.com mountain overview:
Warren Witherell, one of the top ski coaches, once observed, 'Start a kid on small hill and they seek speed.' Pam Fletcher is the perfect example. Starting at 240 foot Nashoba Valley, she became America's top female downhill racer in the eighties. Seven days and seven nights a week this area takes advantage of its location just a half hour from Boston to turn out new skiers with one of the state's largest ski schools. Not all will go as fast as Pam Fletcher but the fill the slopes at Nashoba and move on to bigger areas.
