Super-organized learn-to-ski and snowboard programs are the hallmark of Ski Sundown. When new skiers arrive they are greeted by sign as they cross the bridge from the parking lot directing them to follow the numbered signs. The signs direct them through every step, from signing up to securing rental gear and meeting their instructors. When it's easy for veteran skiers to get lost at a new ski area, this attention to detail is a real bonus for anyone new to the sport. But don't think beginners make up the entire population at Ski Sundown. The racing program is one of the most popular at the area, proving that good ski areas ski there, too.
