
The preparations for enjoying winter on the mountain have already begun. Passes have been bought, trips booked, and the skis have been brought to the shop for a fresh tune-up.
The same goes for Mother Nature as the days have been getting shorter since the summer solstice. The leaves will soon be falling off the trees – though more rain would be helpful to bring out some vibrant colors – and Mount Washington will inevitably get its first coating of the white stuff.
But shoulder season between time on the beach and enjoying corduroy don’t necessarily need to be full of boredom waiting for winter to arrive.
Get outside, get moving, and enjoy the scenes of fall in New England as we ramp up toward the best season of the year – ski season.
