Mount Sunapee Rhythm & Brews

Saturday, Aug. 17, 12-5 p.m.: Get your groove with live music from Entrain and The Bulkheads and local craft beer; this event is a must for anyone who wants to sip on local brews and soak up the mountain views. Multiple ticket options available.

Bousquet Jazz Festival

Saturday, Aug. 17, 4-10 p.m.: The third annual Bousquet Jazz Festival brings jazz to the middle of the Berkshires. The Luke Franco Quartet opens the event and will be followed by Samirah Evans (5:15 p.m.) and The Brubeck Brothers Quartet (6:30 p.m.) will perform outside while Peggy Stern (8 p.m.) will close out the night with a performance inside Drifters Bar & Restaurant. Adult tickets are $25, ages 12-18 are $15 and under 12 are $5.

Smoke on the Mountain Mountaintop BBQ at Cranmore

Saturday, Aug. 17, 4-7:30 p.m.: Enjoy a spin up to the summit on the Skimobile Express for a buffet at the Meister Hut. Barbeque pork shanks, smoked teriyaki chicken thighs and a 14-hour smoked brisket are among the highlights on the menu. Adult tickets are $70 and kids 10 and under are $35.

Tenney Mountain Disc Golf Classic

August 17-18: Feeling a little competitive? A two-day disc golf tournament in partnership with the Granite State Tour and White Mountain Disc Golf that will have awards in multiple skill levels, including two pro divisions. The course was redesigned in 2023 by Matt Albee. $60.

Okkervil River, The Original Upper Valley Lineup: 20 Year Reunion at Whaleback

Friday, Aug. 23, 5-10 p.m.: The founding members of Okkervil River, Kimball Union Academy graduates Will Sheff, Seth Warren, Zach Thomas and Aaron Johnson, will reunite for a benefit concert in support of the Upper Valley Snow Sports Foundation, which runs Whaleback Mountain, and the Upper Valley Land Trust. Western Terrestrials will be the opening act. Tickets are $20.

Summerfest at Wachusett

August 24-25, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.: There will be a luau on the lawn outside the base lodge with an artist market, yard games and food trucks. Adult tickets are $9 and kids aged 6-12 are $6. Scenic SkyRide tickets are an additional $9 per person.

Mount Cube guided hike from Waterville Valley

Sunday, Aug. 25, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. The Waterville Valley Recreation Department offers a 4.9-mile guided hike of Mt. Cube up the Cross Rivendale Trail led by a Wilderness First Responder.
