Indy Pass adds four New England resorts to its ranks

The Indy Pass waitlist opened for a four-day window, beginning Monday. In a release, Indy Pass said they added 10 new resorts – four of them in New England – for the upcoming 2024-25 ski season, which allowed for increased pass numbers.

A limited number of passes will be available, but people who are on the waitlist should have received an email Monday with a purchase code.

Beginning on Wednesday, season pass holders at mountains that are also part of Indy Pass may purchase AddOn Passes at a 25 percent discount.

If passes still remain, the general public will get a chance to buy an Indy Pass on Thursday – which happens to be Independence Day.

An Indy+ Pass with no blackout dates is $499 for an adult and $269 for a child (12 and under), while the Indy Base Pass, which has blackout dates that vary by resort, is $379/$209. An Indy AddOn Pass is $379/$209 and the AddOn Base Pass is $289/$159.

“Our goal is to regulate the volume of Indy Passes to maintain uncrowded slopes at our partner resorts,” Indy Pass founder Doug Fish said in the statement. “With the addition of these great new partners, we are excited to release additional passes during this short window.”

The roster of mountains that accept the Indy Pass in New England is increasing as Ragged Mountain (New Hampshire), Camden Snow Bowl (Maine), Mount Abram (Maine) and Middlebury Snowbowl (Vermont).

Ragged Mountain, which has 57 trails and 250 skiable acres with a vertical drop of 1,250 feet in Danbury, N.H., is the last of the mountains that Pacific Group Resorts operates to join Indy Pass. PGRI also runs Vermont’s Jay Peak, Wisp in Maryland, Wintergreen in Virginia, Mt. Washington in British Columbia, and Powderhorn in Colorado.

“We are excited to become part of the Indy family for the 24-25 season,” Ragged Mountain general manager Erik Barnes said in the statement. “This opportunity will give the Indy Pass holders exposure to the community vibe, which makes Ragged Mountain so special in New Hampshire.”

Camden Snow Bowl is owned by the town of Camden and has 15 trails and 11 glades with an 850-foot vertical from the top of the triple chair — 1,070 vertical feet for those willing to hike to the top of the Downeast Glade – and three lifts.

Located in Greenwood, Maine, Mount Abram has 42 trails and glades with four lifts serving 450 skiable acres to go with 1,150 vertical feet.

Middlebury Snowbowl is run by Middlebury College and has 28 trails and 11 glades providing more than 700 skiable acres. Founded in 1934, it has 1,020 vertical feet serviced by four lifts.

They bring the number of downhill ski areas in New England on the Indy Pass to 21.
