Over the last 38 years, Shawn Taylor has pretty much done pretty much everything at King Pine Ski Area in Madison, N.H.
Ski and snowboard instructor, check and check. Lift maintenance, check. Snowmaker, check. Even flipping burgers and wiping down tables. He’s pretty much done it all.
Since starting as a seasonal employee in 1986, Taylor got his biggest promotion on Monday as he was named the general manager of the small hill with 17 trails and five lifts and a vertical drop of 350 feet.
The Tamworth resident knows what King Pine needs to rely on to be successful.
