
Waterville Valley is billed as the birthplace of freestyle skiing, and for the second year in a row, the world’s top moguls skiers will take on Lower Bobby’s Run in the World Cup set for Friday and Saturday.
The men’s and women’s moguls will be contested on Friday with women’s qualifications starting at 9:10 a.m. The first round of the two-stage finals gets underway at 2 p.m.
Dual moguls will be on Saturday beginning with the preliminary rounds at 10:30 a.m. The knockout rounds begin at 2 p.m. with the finals scheduled for 3 p.m.
On the women’s side, American Jaelin Kauf was second in the duals a year ago and won a dual event in Bakuriani, Georgia, last month. She also was third in moguls in Georgia, which was won by Connecticut-born Olivia Giaccio.
