When it comes to variety of terrain suited for many different tastes, Sugarbush might come out on top in Vermont.
“Some of my best days in the East have been at Sugarbush,” New England Ski Journal Basecamp podcast co-host Mike Specian said. “I’ve got tons of friends that have moved up there, that work up there, that live up there. But the best part about Sugarbush is that they’ve got the terrain and the snow that we don’t always get in New England.
“The skiing on Mount Ellen, Upper FIS…so steep, so exposed, and big bumps. But the skiing is to die for. Then, you look over at Lincoln Peak with Castle Rock and Paradise off of Heaven’s Gate chair, that stuff hasn’t changed. It is by far some of the best skiing east of the Mississippi.”
On the latest Basecamp podcast, Sugarbush vice president of sales and marketing JJ Toland and director of communications John Bleh joined Specian and Eric Wilbur to discuss the Vermont ski resort’s special place in the skier’s eye.
