Once called the "offseason," summer is now another busy time at many of the resorts in northern New England. Usually starting in June, events for all ages are offered, giving visitors the opportunity to experience their favorite area, or perhaps a new one, for a totally new experience. Whether it is music, festivals, art shows, tournaments or nature programs, there’s something of interest to all members of the family.
Not far from Boston, Wachusett Mountain hosts Cars & Coffee on July 14. This open car show features many kinds of vehicles as well as car-related vendors and entertainment. Even if you’re not a car buff, the whole family can enjoy the Summer Food Truck Festival with its variety of food trucks, live music, the summit scenic SkyRide, craft beer and more.
