The kids may be playing baseball and lacrosse, but that doesn’t mean that ski season is over yet.
The late-season snow that fell in March and early April has left many northern New England ski resorts in position to stay open another weekend. With school vacation for many schools starting on Monday, that gives some the opportunity to ski during both February and April breaks this year.
At least 17 ski areas will be open for spring skiing this weekend, with many of the mountains saying this will be their final operating days of the season.
Just last weekend, a nor’easter dropped as much as 2 feet of snow in high elevations around northern New England.
