Killington has (finally) called it.
With the Superstar Glacier running thin, and the calendar turning to June, Killington announced that Thursday would be the final day for lift-served skiing and riding this season.
“We have had an amazing season and are grateful to all of those who have joined us and made it extra spectacular,” Killington’s snow report read Thursday morning. “For those of you who haven’t had enough just yet, we are ending things with a bang with a final day of June skiing here on Superstar…..This is your last chance to ski in the East this season.”
Killington reported that its grooming team spent time patching Superstar together so that the trail was groomed from top to bottom. Skiers and riders were warned that walking might be required as the day went on.
